Kindle Features

Advanced Design

Sleek & Trim

At 10.2 ounces, Kindle is lighter than a typical paperback and as thin as most magazines. Barely a third of an inch in profile, you’ll find Kindle fits perfectly in your hands.

Improved Ergonomics

Kindle is as easy to hold and use as a book. We designed it with long-form reading in mind. When reading for long periods of time, people naturally shift positions and often like to read with one hand. Kindle’s page-turning buttons are located on both sides, allowing you to read and turn pages comfortably with one hand from any position. The page-turn buttons now flex inward to prevent any accidental page turns when picking up or handling Kindle.

New 5-way Controller

Kindle has a new easy-to-use 5-way controller, enabling precise on-screen navigation for selecting text to highlight or looking up words.

Simple to Use, No Computer Required

Kindle is completely wireless and ready to use right out of the box–no setup, no cables, no computer required.

Even Longer Battery Life

25% Longer Battery Life–Read for Days Without Recharging

With Kindle’s 25% longer battery life, you can read on a single charge for up to 4 days with wireless on. Turn wireless off and read for up to 2 weeks. Battery life will vary based on wireless usage, such as shopping the Kindle Store and downloading content. In low coverage areas or in 1xRTT only coverage, wireless usage will consume battery power more quickly.

Charge via USB

Kindle supports wall charging via the included Kindle power adapter, and charging from your computer via the included USB 2.0 cable. Kindle fully charges in approximately 4 hours.

Wireless Access with Whispernet

Fast 3G Network–Get Books in Under 60 Seconds

Whispernet utilizes Amazon’s optimized technology plus Sprint’s national high-speed (3G) data network to enable you to wirelessly search, discover, and download content on the go. Your books and periodicals are delivered via Whispernet in less than 60 seconds. And unlike WiFi, you never have to hunt for a hotspot.

Expanded National Coverage

We expanded Kindle’s national coverage to include more cities and areas in all 50 states, enabling wireless downloads of books, newspapers, magazines, and blogs. Check our wireless coverage map for availability. This expanded coverage is only available for Kindle.

No Wireless Bills

No monthly wireless bills, data plans, or commitments. Amazon pays for Kindle’s wireless connectivity so you won’t see a wireless bill. There is no wireless setup–you are ready to shop, purchase and read right out of the box. See Wireless Terms and Conditions.

Carry Your Library in 10.2 Ounces

Holds Over 1,500 Books

The ultimate travel companion, Kindle weighs 10.2 ounces and holds more than 1,500 books. No longer pick and choose which books fit in your carry-on. Now you can always have your entire library with you.

Automatic Library Backup: Download Your Books Anytime for Free

A copy of every book you purchased from the Kindle Store is backed up online at Amazon.com in case you ever need to download it again. You can wirelessly re-download books for free any time. This allows you to make room for new titles on your Kindle, knowing that Amazon is storing your personal library of Kindle books. We even back up your last page read and annotations, so you’ll never lose those, either. Think of it as a bookshelf in your attic–even though you don’t see it, you know your books are there.

Enhanced Reading

Lose Yourself in Your Reading

The most elegant feature of a physical book is that it disappears while you’re reading. Immersed in the author’s world and ideas, you don’t notice a book’s glue, the stitching, or ink. Our top design objective was to make Kindle disappear–just like a physical book–so you can get lost in your reading, not the technology.

Paper-like Screen

Utilizing the latest in electronic-ink display technology, Kindle provides a crisp black-and-white 6″ screen with the same appearance and readability of printed paper. Sharp and natural with no glare or backlight, reading on Kindle is nothing like reading from a computer screen. Those who see it for the first time always do a double-take. The screen works using ink, just like books and newspapers, but displays the ink particles electronically. And unlike a laptop or smart phone, Kindle never gets warm so you can comfortably read as long as you like.

Sharper Display of Images and Photos

  jQuery('#popupImage844416 div').each(function() {
    jQuery(this).amazonPopoverTrigger({
      title: "Sharper Display with 16 Shades",
      literalContent: '<img src="http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/images/G/01/kindle/turing/assets/16-shades-compare-lg._V245471109_.gif" width="454" height="490" border="0" />',
      showCloseButton: true,
      closeText: 'Close',
      location: function() {
        return {
          left: 18,
          top: jQuery('#popupImage844416').position().top - 78
        }
      },
      width: 524
    });
  });
});
// --> Kindle’s high-resolution screen now boasts 16 shades of gray, so images and photos are sharper and clearer than ever.

Read in Sunlight with No Glare

Kindle’s screen reflects light like ordinary paper and uses no backlighting, eliminating the glare associated with other electronic displays. As a result, Kindle can be read as easily in bright sunlight as in your living room.

Adjustable Text Size

Because one size doesn’t fit all, you can increase the text size of your favorite book or periodical with the push of a button. If your eyes tire, simply increase the font size and continue reading comfortably. Kindle has six adjustable font sizes to suit your reading preference. Now every book in your library can be large print.

Read-to-Me Feature

With the new text-to-speech feature, Kindle can read every newspaper, magazine, blog and book out loud to you, unless the book is disabled by the rights holder. You can switch back and forth between reading and listening, and your spot is automatically saved. Pages automatically turn while the content is being read, so you can listen hands-free. You can choose from both male and female voices which can be sped up or slowed down to suit your preference. In the middle of a great book or article but have to jump in the car? Simply turn on Text-to-Speech and listen on the go.

Improved Newspaper Experience

Using Kindle’s new 5-way controller, you can quickly flip between articles, making it faster and easier to browse and read the morning paper. Want to remember the newspaper or magazine article you just read? Clip and save entire articles for later reading with a single click.

Faster Page Turns

Pages now turn 20% faster on average.

Bookmarks and Annotations

By using the QWERTY keyboard, you can add annotations to text, just like you might write in the margins of a book. And because it is digital, you can edit, delete, and export your notes. Using the new 5-way controller, you can highlight and clip key passages and bookmark pages for future use. You’ll never need to bookmark your last place in the book, because Kindle remembers for you and always opens to the last page you read.

Full Image Zoom

Images and photos display crisply on Kindle and can be zoomed to the full size of the screen.

Personal Document Service Via Whispernet

Kindle makes it easy to take your personal documents with you, eliminating the need to print. Each Kindle has a unique and customizable e-mail address. You can set your unique email address on your Manage Your Kindle page. This allows you and your approved contacts to e-mail Word, PDF documents, and pictures wirelessly to your Kindle for a small fee–see details. Kindle supports wireless delivery of unprotected Microsoft Word, PDF, HTML, TXT, RTF, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, PRC and MOBI files.

In addition to the existing experimental support of PDF, you can also send DOCX files for conversion. Some complex PDF and DOCX files might not format correctly on your Kindle.

If you would like to download your personal documents for free, or if you are not in a wireless area, you can send attachments to “name”@free.kindle.com to be converted and e-mailed to your computer at the e-mail address associated with your Amazon.com account login. You can then transfer the document to your Kindle using your USB connection. For example, if your Kindle email address is Jay@Kindle.com, send your attachments to Jay@free.kindle.com.

Built-in Dictionary with Instant Lookup

Never get caught without a dictionary. Kindle includes The New Oxford American Dictionary with over 250,000 entries and definitions, so you can seamlessly look up the definitions of words without interrupting your reading. Come across a word you don’t know? Simply move the cursor to it and the definition will automatically display at the bottom of the screen. Never fear a sesquipedalian word again–simply look it up and keep reading.

Wireless Access to Wikipedia

Kindle also includes free built-in access to the world’s most exhaustive and up-to-date encyclopedia–Wikipedia.org. With Kindle in hand, looking up people, places, events, and more has never been easier. It gives whole new meaning to the phrase walking encyclopedia.

Search

Kindle makes it easy to search within a book, across your library, in the Kindle Store, or even the Web. To use the Search feature, simply type in a word or phrase you’re looking for, and Kindle finds every instance in your book or across your Kindle library. Looking for the first reference of a character in your book? Simply type in the name and search. You can extend your search to the Kindle Store to find related titles you may be interested in. Explore even further by searching Wikipedia and the Web.

Audiobooks

With Kindle, you are able to download and enjoy more than 50,000 audio titles from Audible.com, including bestselling audio books, radio programs, audio newspapers, and magazines. Due to their file size, audiobooks are downloaded to your PC over your existing Internet connection and then transferred to Kindle using the included USB 2.0 cable. Listen via Kindle’s speakers or plug in your headphones for private listening.

Own an iPhone?

The iPhone is a perfect companion for your Kindle. To read Kindle books on your iPhone or iPod touch, simply download our free Kindle for iPhone application. Our new Whispersync technology saves and synchronizes your reading location across your Kindle(s) and your iPhone. Now you can read a few pages on your iPhone and pick up right where you left off when you return to your Kindle.

Experimental Features

The experimental category represents features we are still working on to enhance the Kindle experience even further. Try them out and let us know what you think.

Read-to-Me

With the new text-to-speech feature, Kindle can read every newspaper, magazine, blog and book out loud to you, unless the book is disabled by the rights holder. You can switch back and forth between reading and listening, and your spot is automatically saved. Pages automatically turn while the content is being read, so you can listen hands-free. You can choose from both male and female voices which can be sped up or slowed down to suit your preference. In the middle of a great book or article but have to jump in the car? Simply turn on Text-to-Speech and listen on the go.

Basic Web Browser

Kindle’s Basic Web browser works well to read simple, text-centric Web sites such as Google and Wikipedia. Need to find a movie listing or look up a sports score? Now it’s easier than ever to find the information you’re looking for right from your Kindle.

PDF Document Conversion

You can email your PDF documents wirelessly to your Kindle, just like other personal documents. Due to PDF’s fixed layout format, some complex PDF files may not format correctly on your Kindle.

Listen to Music & Podcasts

Transfer MP3 files to Kindle to play as background music while you read. You can quickly and easily transfer MP3 files via USB by connecting Kindle to your computer.

Included in The Box

Kindle electronic reader, power adapter, and USB 2.0 cable (for connection to the Kindle power adapter or optionally to connect to a PC or Macintosh computer).

                          Kit includes: 1) Giottos Rocket-Air Blower Professional AA1920; 2) Lenspen Lens Pen Cleaning System; 3) Deluxe 5-Piece Lens Cleaning Kit; 4) Microfiber Cleaning Cloth. ♦ The Giottos Rocket-Air Blower is very powerful and easy to use cleaning system. The super air stream blows off dust particles, even those attracted by static electricity. Giottos’ patented and unique rocket base design allows the Rocket-Air to stand by itself and prevents accidental blocking of the inlet valve as well as making it easy to store. The inlet valve prevents back flow from the air tube. This air blower is an excellent way to remove dust off sensitive equipment parts without physical contact. It works great when used on digital camera sensors, lenses, telescopes, computer keyboards, microscopes, communications equipment, musical instruments or just about any precision equipment. ♦ Keeping your lenses and LCD spotless is crucial to high-quality photography. After all, just the slightest imperfection — such as dust, fingerprints or water stains — can mean the difference between a stunning portrait and an unsalvageable mistake. Unfortunately, microfiber cloths can often leave dust behind, and compressed air won’t clean fingerprints or other stains. The answer is the LensPen! ♦ Deluxe 5-Piece Cleaning Kit includes: Lens Cleaning Tissue; Lens Cloth; Lens Cleaning Liquid; Blower Brush; Cotton Swabs.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Great for the price
I am a serious photographer with 40 years experience. I bought this flash for $150 from Ace Photo, After a year of using the built in flash on my A100 and being frustrated with it’s limitations this flash is a revelation. It syncs perfectly with my camera even automatically detecting the focal length of the zoom. It is more than powerful enough. I am getting better results at iso100 with this flash than I did with the built in flash at iso 400-800. I use it both direct and as a bounce. I am using NIMh rechargeables and the battery life exceeds the camera battery so you won’t run out of charge.

I have not used the remote feature but others have told me it works very well. It is triggered by the built in flash which makes an expensive remote sender unnecessary.

The only feature this flash lacks is the ability to swivel in addition to tilt. This is a problem only if you tilt the camera for vertical shots and want to bounce off the ceiling or bounce off the wall in horizontal operation. This problem can be overcome by using an inexpensive diffuser which is a highly recommend accessory anyway.

I understand that this flash is being discontinued so if you don’t act fast you may have to pay much more for a Sony or be stuck with a third party flash which may give less predictable results.

4 Stars   Sony HVL-F36AM
I got this flash in May 2008 with my Alpha 200 before a trip to Alaska cruise. I got it for about one hundred bucks, I think a very good deal for a genuine Sony product. The ttl autoexposure is perfect, but a little bit underpower to take indoor pictures. I used it to take my cousin wedding reception at a local chines e restaurant and I have to adjust my raw images to +1stop. I am not happy with the wireless capability of this flash, because the flash need to be in the front of camera in order to be triggered by incamera pre-flash. I meant it is not triggered by radio frequency so it works same way as a cheap photosensor with ttl autoexposure. Overall it’s okay for 100bucks flash.

5 Stars   Nice little flash
This does what it is supposed to do. Good Guide number, wireless capabilities, bouncing capabilities, High speed sync(even in wireless mode), manual zoom.

I am very happy with its performance. It gave me correct exposure with Sony A700 and A100. I prefer to use it in wireless bounce mode with camera in manual meter. This is a must for every Sony DSLR owners.

5 Stars   Great Flash
This is my first DLSR Camera and this is my first flash for a DLSR. I have not used other flashes, but I can tell you that this flash works very well for me. It provides excellent light and many times better lighting than the built-in camera flash. It is not an energy hog as you would expect. I keep rechargable batteries on hand (uses four AA’s) but even with the use of those batteries, it still is pretty efficient from what I can tell. Again, nothing to compare it to, but I am very pleased with it.

5 Stars Good low cost flash
The Sony HVL-F36AM is a great flash with wireless

and HSS features.

Overall a good flash unit.

                          The main function of the lens hood is to shade the lens from stray light, improving your contrast and image quality. But it will also protects the front barrel from the inevitable impacts against walls, door frames, and other real-life obstacles and in inclement weather, it can assist in keeping moisture or wind-blown debris off the lens. The advantage of the petal shape design is, that it offers the same prevention of flare as the corresponding circular or rectangular design, but with a smaller size and a lighter weight.Installation: * Rotate lock-ring to expose the thread’s mounting thread * Attach the hood by screwing it on the filter or lens thread. * Rotate lock-ring back to fix the hood on the thread. * While fixating the hood with the lock-ring, keep the ” ” symbol on the hood exactly at 12 o’clock position for the correct perpendicular orientation of the higher sides of the hood.

5 Stars A LowePro Slingshot 200 with a great package deal at a low price
Pros - The LowePro SlingShot 200 is a nearly perfect bag to carry and protect my Nikon D60 SLR, 10-20mm and 18-250 zoom lenses, filters, spare batteries, speedlite, lens cleaning kit, and a few energy bars. The highly durable and padded pack swings quickly to a forward position for fast camera access, yet fits snugly on my back when bike riding or hiking. The lens cleaning kit and tripod really sweeten this package for an almost unbeatable deal.

Cons - No water bottle carrier, should be standard. Tripod is not very sturdy when extended over 3 feet with an SLR and heavy zoom, but at this price it is expected. I definitely recommend this package for purchase.
The pack is great - plenty of room, flexible configuration of compartments for lenses, camera, and other accessories. The tripod is light and easy to use but a bit flimsy, especially when extended to it’s tallest point.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars   Sony camera
I love this camera…great for starter. Still so much to learn about the features…some confusing.

4 Stars Great DSLR for moving up from a point-and-shoot because of Live View
There is really only one reason to choose this camera over the more established Nikon and Canon offerings and that is Live View. To put it simply, this is the ONLY DSLR with the ability to use the LCD screen to compose and take your picture with no sacrifice in focus speed vs. using the optical viewfinder. This is similar to how you use a point-and-shoot. Thus it is a great camera for those who prefer to take pictures using the LCD screen.

Canon and Nikon both offer a form of live view that relies on contrast focus to take the picture which is slower and less accurate.

I happen to love taking picture using the LCD screen in part because I wear a motorcycle helmet taking pictures which won’t allow me to use the viewfinder on a traditional DSLR. Those who wear glasses or who like to shoot from the waist, ground, or overhead will also really appreciate this.

If this feature is not important to you, you are better off getting the Canon or Nikon as they are a more mature platform with more support than Sony DSLRs.

Keep in mind that the larger sensor on a DSLR allow a much better picture than any point-and-shoot. You will really notice this in low light/indoor shots where you can take pictures largely without flash which always looks so much better. You will also notice a much faster frames per second rate and much more flexibility in composing shots using custom settings.

Those who simply want a point-and-shoot simplicity can set it on automatic and get great looking shots.

5 Stars great and easy to use
I bought the camera to replace my old 35 mm Cannon, it is as fantastic but digital, I only wish it could also take video, how difficult is that? even my cell phone can. Great product.

5 Stars Digital Photography accessible to newcomers
The Sony Alpha 300 is a very nice mid entry level camera to anyone with a desire to explore digital photography.

I had first purchased the Alpha 200, and about a week later, Sony launched the Alpha 300. I was able to return my out of the box camera, and ordered this newer model. I am glad I did, because of all the features that this camera has, as I will briefly describe below.

It is a fantastic piece of equipment that allows amateurs, and mid level photographers to engage in their creative shooting, while using some of the advantages of a point and shoot camera.

One of the main features that makes this camera so desirable is its ‘live preview’ feature on its LCD screen.

I was used to shooting photos on a Sony Cyber before upgrading to a digital SLR. The few days I had the Alpha 200 I hated the fact that I had to look in the viewer. But with the Live preview function in this camera, I was satisfied of being able to shoot as I had already been shooting for about 3 years, and do it with much better results with this 10Mb pixel camera.

I spent a couple months shooting with the automatic setting, which is just as using a point and shoot camera.

The real power of this camera is unleashed when you start playing with the other shooting settings. I have already transitioned into only using this camera on its manual setting, and being able to create certain moods in the photographs I have shot, all by controlling exposure and aperture, the two technical elements that are required in photography.

They are easily controlled and can be changed on the fly, while photographing your subject matter, by a simple button and a dial.

A less known feature is the ability to take 3 shoots per second, with different exposure settings, using the EAB (Exposure Auto Bracketing) setting, very useful for those who want to combine 3 shots into one, using postprocessing with either Photoshop, or any other graphics program.

The camera is compact, its weight is very manageable, and the life of the battery allows you to take as many photos as you want to create photographic essays on whatever subject you like.

I definitely recommend this camera to anyone getting into the fantastic world of digital photography. As I said, you can set the camera in automatic, and learn to use it, and gradually play with the other settings until you are using it as it is meant to be used.

5 Stars   Greate Value Product
I think for Taking Corner Shot, High or low Height shots the Live LCD is boon.

Camera Battery rocks, Decent options for Lense from G, DT and Ziess Lense.

Camera is very very affordable compared to same Feature in Nikon and Canon where we have to pay more then $ 500 for just Normal Lens with VR (Vibration Reduction) as it inbuild in Sensor.

I think CMOS Sensor could have render image Better but Price Vs Value Ratio may go up then.

                          The HVL-F58AM flash unit delivers flexible lighting control for a (alpha) DSLR photographers. The innovative new Quick Shift Bounce system allows the flash to pivot 90 degrees left and right to maintain a proper lighting position, even when shooting vertically. The HVL-F58AM can also wirelessly control up to three groups of flashes, and Wireless Ratio Control allows you to specify luminosity ratios for each group. Additionally, the HVL-F58AM features an effective range of more than 45 feet (14.5m) and a fast, five-second recharge time. A built-in wide panel and bounce sheet provide an even greater degree of creative control. Delivers high-illumination output in a compact, lightweight body, with an effective range of more than 45 feet (14.5m) and guide number 58. (Guide number measures the illumination capability of the flash; the higher the number, the higher the light output. Tested at ISO100, 105mm). The innovative Quick Shift Bounce” system allows the HVL-F58AM to orbit 90 degrees left and right, allowing you to maintain horizontal light distribution even when shooting vertically. In addition to pivoting side-to-side, the flash unit can also tilt down 10 degrees or back 150 degrees, ensuring customers the lighting freedom they need to capture that perfect shot. Wireless Ratio Control allows customers to wirelessly control up to three groups of flashes, as well as specify the luminosity ratio for each group, so they can enjoy multiple-flash lighting techniques without the need for special equipment or tedious exposure settings. The HVL-F58AM Flash Unit recharges approximately 55% faster than the previous Sony high-end accessory flash (HVL-F56AM), so customers will be ready to catch the next great moment. And because it features a quiet recycle charge, there’s no whine to distract them from their subject.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars   HVL-F58AM
I am new on taking photo I bought DSLR just to take picture for my kids and for my family I own A200. When I see this flash i started to read some flash issue. then I came up to an end that i got the right DSLR in my hands so i did not think twice to order this in AMAZON. Now I got it, and it is excelent superb!!!! I take photos on recognition day of my kids and there is a dance number that I use this flash cintinues shot and all shot are clear… it just like taking picture in the mid of the sunlight… I know its exargerating but… now I Am planning to get A700 and another set of orders in this site will be placed for this flash gun…

5 Stars   Good Flash
This unit works well. It is bright enough to light up a wide angle shot in a small hall with some ambient light, without blowing out close up shots. It has a fast recharge, and good color balance. I prefer the results obtained when using an aftermarket opaque white diffuser, reducing mirror/glass glare or “stars”, and providing a more uniform exposure.

5 Stars Best Flash you could ever find
This is without a doubt the best flash you could ever find and own… I am an enthusiast amateur and I can tell to anyone without a photographic knowledge that you will be fascinated with this and to the people that do know a little bit more (or a lot) you can just relay on the specification because they are all true and they are AWESOME. You wont regret the buy of this flash!!

5 Stars   HVL-F58AM and A900
The flash works perfectly with my A900. It recharges quickly and they work together to do a good job properly exposing images.

5 Stars   I love this flash !
I bought this flash mainly to use on my A-700. I had been looking at the HVL-F42AM, but decided to spend more for the extra power. This flash is big, easy to use, has more features than I’ve had time to explore yet, is very quiet, has fast recycling time & best of all, it’s cool how the head pivots. I bought this just in time to celebrate Halloween with my 1 yr. old grandson. The high-speed sych. worked great outdoors. I used it mostly for fill flash. Using indoors, the built in flash card works great when bouncing it off ceiling & walls which makes for a more natural looking picture with a little catch-light in the eyes. The wireless function works great also. I’ve used it off-camera (wireless)with another flash I own for even more fun. After having finally getting my hands on this flash & using it, I am well satisfied with my decision.

                          No need to let the weather stop you from shooting. The Nova 140 AW includes a 360-degrees All Weather Cover that protects your gear as you work. All-around utility features include overflap lid to increase protection from the elements, dual memory card pockets on interior of lid, front accessory pocket, mesh side pockets, padded strap and cushioned grab handle tailored for comfort and durability, plus a belt loop so you can wear as a beltpack.

5 Stars Lowepro Nove 140 AW Camera Bag, chestnut brown
I have an earlier model of this bag, it is years old, showing no signs of wear. I got a new camera, so of course I looked for a bag like the old one, and this is as close as I could get. This bag is made just as well as my other one, the color is a nice brown that is not overstated. The bag is large enough for a digital SLR, mine is a Nikon P90. It fits with room to spare, and has a divider for the main compartment that adjusts with velcro to keep the camera sitting snug. There are little pouches for memory cards, a place for a charger, it is an all in one place bag great for trips. It has a comfortable shoulder strap that is adjustable. I like this bag, and would recommend it to anyone with a medium size DSLR.

5 Stars Pretty good good starter bag
I got this bag for my Nikon FM10 (with 35-70mm zoom lens) which I got for an Intro Photography class. It’s just the right size for this camera, plus it has space for at least several rolls of film or extra lenses.

It’s also outfitted with slots for memory cards, so digital cameras can find a good home here as well.

It’s waterproof, lightproof and padded enough to handle everyday jolts.

There are two padded dividers on the inside that are secured with velcro. They have flaps and can be adjusted to accommodate SLRs, pocket cameras, and others. I wouldn’t get this model, however, if you need to carry a telephoto lens (it’s too small) or if you’re looking to carry around more than two extra lenses. Otherwise, it’s a great little bag.

5 Stars Great small sized camera bag
Lowepro Nova 140 AW Camera Bag (Ultramarine Blue)

This is a great camera bag. It is very well padded with two movable dividers that use velcro to attach to the sides of the bag. It also has many well placed pockets to hold memory cards, filters, etc. I have my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28, lens hood, battery charger, extra battery, included cables and memory card all in this bag, although it is a tight squeeze. The only improvement I would like to see is for the bag to be made a little bit wider-I probably should have ordered the Nova 160 for a little extra room. In spite of this, I would highly recommend this camera bag to anyone with a smallish camera kit-I think you will love it.

Featuring a fully-padded interior with soft, adjustable velcro dividers, this case is perfect for the photographer on the go. This lightweight backpack is constructed of water-resistant nylon, and has room for an average-sized digital SLR camera body, up to 2 compact flashes, and 3 short to medium-length zoom lenses. In addition, small accessories can be stored in the front zippered pouch — which has several small pockets inside — as well as the zippered mesh pocket located inside the main compartment.

3 Stars   Digital Concepts Backpack
I really like the backpack itself, but the inserts are terrible. They’re cheap and flimsy and don’t hold anything in place.

4 Stars A decent little camera bag
This is a decent little camera bag that allows all the essentials to be carried. It holds my camera body, a standard lens, 200mm zoom lens, a macro lense plus a couple more smaller lenses or flash. Still has room for the charging cable. One other smaller compartment to store extra batteries, pens, etc.

5 Stars Extremely handy and compact
A great tool to carry my Nikon D80 camera and its accessories when on the go. It is light and compact. You barely feel you are carrying it… The waterproof overall covering is very practical as an added protection even if you are holding an umbrella.
